Indie Grits Makes the Top 25
This just in from Larry Hembree at the Nickelodeon Theater - Indie Grits Film Festival in Columbia, South Carolina is ranked as one of the 25 Coolest Film Festivals by MovieMaker Magazine. The Asheville International Film Festival also made the list. So what do these two cool film festivals and Southern Lens have in common? Each year, SCETV gives a Southern Lens Award to the best "southern" films at each of the festivals and broadcasts them statewide on the series. If you haven't attended one of these festivals yet, its well worth the price of admission. Indie Grits is held in April and currently accepting submissions. Can't wait to pick up a copy of the magazine. Congratulations to Andy Smith and the Nick staff for creating a festival in South Carolina that celebrates low to no budget films and the artists who make them.
