Documentary by Jamie and Chris Koelker on Southern Lens
Southern Lens was proud to present one of Storyline Media's newest projects in 2011, Horse Creek Valley: A Tale Worth Telling. Now we're pleased to announce that the documentary was awarded a national Telly award. The Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, video and film productions, web commercials, videos and films.
Creative couple Jamie and Chris Koelker of Aiken collaborate on a variety of program formats but ETV viewers get to enjoy the historical documentary work they are producing in South Carolina. Trust me, it's not easy putting together 100 years of history let alone 13,000 years into a one-hour program but the Koelkers succeeded in telling the story of Horse Creek Valley which includes areas in Edgefield and Aiken to North Augusta.
Funding for this project was provided in part by a grant from The Humanities CouncilSC, Aiken County Historical Museum Commission, the Friends of the Aiken County Historical Museum, the Aiken County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, and the Irene Trowell Memorial Education Fund.
