Miss Springmaid makes the cut!
ETV submits programs to the Southeast regional chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Emmys at this level are awarded to individuals producing television in Georgia, Alabama, Mississipi, South Carolina and Asheville, NC. This is both commercial and public broadcasting, including all of the regional cable productions based in Atlanta. It's a competitive region. Individuals producing for ETV are nominated for 7 Emmy Awards and Carolina Stories: Miss Springmaid is nominated for best historical documentary. This is the first Emmy nomination for Senior Producer/Director Steve Folks' documentary work. Christine Brouwer, Mark Adams and I are also named on the nomination which really is an honor. The awards dinner is June 18 in Atlanta. Our fingers are crossed for all of the ETV nominees! More information in the ETV Pressroom.
