Technology Workshop
At ETV Studios in Columbia, SC
July 27, 28, & 29, 2010
This workshop is open to all educators in South Carolina.
Select one, two or three days and attend up to three sessions per day.
Workshops are FREE, 8:30 to 3:15.
The workshop will be held at ETV, 1041 George Rogers Blvd, Columbia, SC 29201. Directions.
STEP 1: Look over each days sessions: Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday
STEP 2: Register: Complete a registration for each day you wish to attend.
Actually, we filled up in less than 24-hours! We do not have a waiting list. We will have cancellations. Just check back each week to see if there are openings. Debbie has a GREAT line-up. THANKS to all of our presenters!

LAPTOPS: We have a limited number of laptops for the hands-on workshops so if you happen to have a laptop you can bring for yourself that has wireless network capabilities, that will help us tremendously. And then you will have all of your work saved on your computer! Thank you.
LUNCH: Lunch will be provided each day. There will be a 30 minute presentation by the lunch provider and then a 30 minute General Session with a guest speaker. See the daily schedules for details.
USB/JUMP Drives: Some sessions will have work you can save to a USB drive ("thumb drive", "flash drive") so bring yours if you have one.
Headphones/Earbuds: You may want to bring a pair if you have one.
Registration: Complete a registration for each day you wish to attend. Print a schedule for each day (Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday) you are attending and select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices for each session. Then come early and go to your first room. If that one is full, you will have to go to your second or third choice. We will NOT be able to overfill rooms-fire marshall's orders. There will be PLENTY offered so you WILL be able to find GREAT sessions to attend.
Schedule Each Day
Check-In/Sign-In 8 to 8:30 – TCC Building (tall 3 story studio building)
Session 1 – 8:30 to 10:00
Break – 10:00 to 10:20 There is a canteen in each building for your convenience. If you bring a water bottle, you can keep it filled at the water cooler.
Session 2 – 10:20 to 11:50
Lunch – 12:00 to 1:00 Lunch provided. Tuesday: Chick-fil-A provided by Discovery Education. Wednesday: Doc's Bar-B-Que and Fried Chicken provided by Promethean. Thursday: Firehouse Subs provided by SMART Technologies.
General Session: – 1:00 - 1:35

Seat Hours: You may request a certificate at the end of your last day for the "seat hours" for the professional development time. Each session is worth 1.5 hours of seat time. (Not to be mistaken for recertifcation full course credit hours. At the discretion of your district, this PD time may be added to your other PD time to help get you to a total amount that will add up to one full course credit.)
Recertification Course Information
Recertification: 1 Hour or 20 Renewal Credits through ITV of SC Department of ED
Cost: $50.00 per participant. You may register and pay upon arrival at the workshop.
