Animalia
Airs Sunday at 7:00 a.m.,
beginning January 20, 2008.
Magical portals, a brightly-colored spinning orb, articulate (and witty!) animals and a unique, fantastical land called Animalia will have children across the country “roaring” for more. This groundbreaking new series, designed for 6- to 9-year-olds, is based on the internationally-acclaimed best-selling book by Graeme Base. The fantasy-adventure series is the first television show to use a variety of 3D animation techniques typically reserved for big-budget feature films.
Two contemporary kids, Alex and Zoe, are mysteriously transported to the magical world Animalia. The spectacular land is populated with intriguing talking animals: zebras in zeppelins, hogs on bikes, media mice delivering news bulletins on blue butterflies’ wings, dynamic dragons, unicorns and elephants with their own eatery. When a mysterious force threatens the future of Animalia, Alex and Zoe embark on a wondrous journey to restore stability to the land—as they dive right into action, fun and adventure all along the way.
