FAMILY NIGHT AT EDVENTURE (5 to 8 p.m.)
Columbia musician Danielle Howle will perform a signature song composition at 5:45 and 6:30 p.m. in front of Eddie to educate children about keeping their hands clean to reduce the spread of germs and flu. The song, “Wash Hands,” was created for DHEC in partnership with ETV. The video was filmed at EdVenture. EdVenture will premier the video, which will include the lyrics on a television monitor so kids can sing along.
Dr. Kathie Williams, health education program manager at EdVenture, will present an educational program on germs, and kids can practice washing their hands correctly in the birthday party room and win a prize. DHEC will be available with information such as the "Pandemic Flu" pocket guide, seasonal flu handouts and the “Wash Hands” song sheet.
