ETV Kids Goes Green!
ETV Kids celebrates Earth Day with a whole line-up of new earth-friendly programming on Friday, April 20. A whole new week of It’s a Big Big World episodes culminates in a special day with a “Share the Earth” celebration on April 20, featuring dialog between Miss Lori and Hooper that helps kids discover ways to protect the planet through recycling.
Curious George, Clifford, Dragon Tales, Arthur, Cyberchase and Fetch! also offer environmental episodes that focus on spring, recycling, planting flowers and conserving water. There will also be music videos from award-winning kids’ rock band, Milkshake, that focus on taking care of the Earth and keeping it clean.

Safe Kids Sumter County's Annual Kids Fest

SAFE KIDS SUMTER COUNTY will host their Annual Kids Fest with interactive displays for children and parents to learn how to help keep kids safe at home, at school, and on the road. We are bringing 32 community partners and 200 volunteers who will host 20 fun, interactive exhibits for children and families to enjoy as well as a chance to preview our new show on safety, Danger Rangers, which airs at 8:30 a.m. every Sunday on ETV Kids, your local PBS Kids station.
The event is free and open to the public.
There will be safety demonstrations on water, swimming, gun, car seat, bicycle, internet, sports and poison prevention safety and much more. And don’t miss the return of Safety Town, a walk through a kid-sized town filled with interactive safety displays! The Safe Kids Safety Shuttle, our new Safe Kids van, will also feature hands on learning exhibits.
Kids will have the chance to meet Vince and Larry, McGruff the Crime Dog, Freddie the Fire Cat, Andy the Ambulance, Seargent Braz, and more. Plan to take your turn getting a closer look at an Ambulance, Fire truck, Patrol Car and our Mounted Patrol.

Each of the exhibits also has a fun giveaway with a safety message that kids will enjoy! Upon arrival, each child will be given a Safe Kids Bag to hold their giveaways and Safe Kids Fest Map which indicates where each exhibit is located in the Exhibition Center.
