Dooley, is the star of the series. He's a warm, lovable, friendly creature from a star far, far away. Dooley will take the children on wondrous journeys and learning adventures. He loves to sing songs, play games, dance and most of all, learn new things everyday.

Mom, is Nick and Maxx's mother, a nurturing and vibrant parent who ia as comfortable with all the neighborhood kids as she is with her own. She reinforces lessons and is always available to listen. Her teaching is done through gentle guidance, questioning, and reinforcing all the amazing discoveries of the children and their alien pals. |

Maxx, a six-year-old girl, who loves playing with Dooley and her brother, Nick. She is quick to learn, quick to play and loves to sing and dance. |

Nick, an eight-year-old boy, who is the older brother to Maxx. Nick and Maxx are Dooley's closest friends and Nick is just as eager as his sister to learn, play and experiment with new projects with Dooley. |

Mrs. Z is the neighborhood mail carrier. She brings Dooley his “letter of the day”, showcasing one of the alphabet's letters each episode. She sings with the children and always delivers to Dooley his Picture Pal, artwork from the viewing audience. |

Doctor Arvid is the local veterinarian and the father of Kayla, who lives next door. He's always eager to hear what the children have learned and introduces them to animals to broaden their understanding of the world. |
