A New Season of Expeditions with Patrick McMillan!
Naturalist, biologist and educator Dr. Patrick McMillan embarks on exotic and fascinating adventures throughout North and South America in Expeditions With Patrick McMillan.
The television host and series co-creator travels from coast-to-coast exploring the diversity of plants, animals and wildlife across the United States. In the third season, Patrick examines The Clemson Experimental Forest in South Carolina and the Apalchicola National Forest in Florida, which is the largest U.S. National Forest in the state of Florida. Patrick also travels to a region in West Texas called the Trans-Pecos, which lies west of the Pecos River and is part of the Chihuahuan Desert, the largest desert in North America. It’s not only forests and deserts that are featured in the 13-part series. Patrick also visits Colorado’s Rocky Mountains as well as Catalina Island in the Pacific Ocean.
Throughout the series, the Clemson University professor shares his passion and enthusiasm for the natural world on his treks through botanical gardens, tropical rainforests, swamps, mountain ranges, prairies, coastal ecosystems and other ecologically rich areas. In these unique and often endangered habitats, he encounters rare wildlife and charts the conservation efforts underway.
Produced by Clemson University and presented by South Carolina ETV, the new season was released on public television stations nationwide through American Public Television (APT) beginning May 2016 (check local listings).
