Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement – Episode Six
Alabama Public TV’s electronic field trip interactive webcasts that brought pivotal moments in Civil Rights history to life for thousands of students worldwide are now available online! Episodes 1-5 can be viewed anytime at www.project-c.org. Also, these five episodes are available for download on PBS LearningMedia (see below).
Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement is a three-year series of free, electronic field trips taking place throughout the civil rights fiftieth anniversary years of 2013-2015. Project C focuses on the role of citizenship in a democracy through the study of historical events and examine the past to teach the importance of civic engagement in support of a humane, civil and just society. The electronic field trip webcasts are designed for students in grades 7-12.
Project C Episode Six is entitled “Montgomery Bus Boycott” and will stream live from the Project C site on December 1, 2015. For more information and to register to participate in this free, live electronic field trip webcast, go to www.project-c.org to click on Episode Six “Join this Trip.”
